2 Month Stats

At her two month appointment today, Madi weighed in at 9 lbs 15 oz and measured 22 inches long- both 40% percentile for her age.

Ooh! Such a Big Big Girl!

Madi sure is getting big! She's pretty good at holding her head up so we tried out the Bumbo seat last night.

Success! She was content in there for almost twenty minutes! She kinda started to slide down at the end when she got tired, but I was pretty impressed.

Check out those thunder thighs! "Misses Tubby... Misses Tubby. You're so fat, fat, fat and chubby!"

Madi also got to see her aunt Kayla for just a short while on Sunday, while she was home from Snow.

And she wore yet another way cute Christmas dress to church. She even showed it off to the whole ward because her mom and dad had to speak in Sacrament Meeting and we all sat in front on the podium.

(Note the beer bottle on top of the couch. Needed a little pick me up after speaking in sacrament. Just kidding. It's Sarsaparilla.)

Madi is also starting to notice toys a little bit more. I put a rattle in her closed fist yesterday and she held it for a while but didn't really seem to care. She does like this giraffe though, especially when I rub it's soft nose on her nose.

I know this picture is impossibly blurry but her face in it is just so cute!

And she and Mud enjoyed some more bonding time. Almost any time we put her next to him, Mud lays on her or right next to her.

Two months has gone by fast!

Ok, so Madi won't be two months old for another week but WoW! Time is going far too quickly. This picture was taken in the hospital when she was only one day old.

This was taken the day after she got home from the hospital, at three days old.

And this one was taken on Saturday! Look at my chubby, smiling girl!

And Madi's not the only one growing! Mom and Dad's puppy, Cocoa is getting pretty big, too. Her legs are way long and she's losing that puppy face a little bit.

Madi's doing all sorts of grown up things like going to Boise, hanging out with Grandpa...

and going to church (the whole block)!

She's been smiling and almost laughing a lot lately. She must have learned how to be silly from her daddy

and doggy brother.

Madi's First Christmas and Blessing Day!

Madi had a great first Christmas. She got to be loved and held by lots of family and basically just slept through it all and didn't care one bit. She met her uncle Kyle and great grandma BB for the first time.

And got a couple presents.

Including this cute pink bunny towel from great grandma Schaugaard.

 

My parent's big gift to the family was a chocolate lab puppy, Cocoa!

Madi went to church the first time the Sunday after Christmas, in her beautiful green dress from her great-aunt Julie.

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving we went up to Logan with my family for my cousin, Jaron's wedding.

She was blessed on Sunday, Jan 3 by her daddy in the gorgeous dress my aunt Linda crocheted for her with lots of family there.

And she got to meet her cousin, Reagan.
